Covid-19 Open-Event Attendance Protocols at USD 411 Activities

Thank you for taking the time to read this document.  We hope to provide a safe, clean environment for all our players, officials and spectators.  At this time we are not limiting attendance at this event.  Please follow the guidelines addressed below.

For Teams

-Teams are to check their temperatures prior to leaving their school. Anyone with a fever of 100.4 or higher should not get on the bus.  You can text Brian LIghtner a picture of the temperatures at 620-200-0700 if desired.

-All team members and coaches will sanitize or wash their hands upon entry to the building.

-Masks will be worn in the building except for during warm-ups or competition. The is critical for football teams as there is a shared entrance by both teams.  All team members must wear their masks to and from the court or field.

-Locker rooms will be available for teams.  Teams must leave the playing surface once the match/game is completed and return to their locker room.

-Please refer to your sport’s specific consideration from the KSHSAA for further expectations.

For Officials

-Please enter through the east doors of the high school.

-We will check your temperature upon entry.  If it is above 100.4, we will wait five minutes for a second check.  If it is still high you must leave or remain in isolation until a ride is available.

-Hand sanitizer will be available, hands need to be washed or sanitized upon arrival.

-Masks are required in the building unless working.  It is not required for you to wear during the match/game.

-Volleyball: We will have separate bathrooms available for you in our east annex near the entry door.

-Football: We will use the two bathrooms in our east annex as your locker rooms.  There will be two showers available for use if interested.

Wheat State League Adopted Officials Honorarium for Cancelled Events

League volleyball events can be officiated by 1 official, if 1 official is used that official would receive 150% pay.

Football games may be officiated with four officials, no additional compensation received.

Officials will be paid an honorarium for their commitment using the schedule below for any games not played due to COVID-19.

$0 if given a 7 day notice prior to the event start time.

25% of total fee if game is cancelled within 7 days and 24 hours of game start time.

50% of the total fee if the game is cancelled within 24 hours of start time.

100% of total fee if the game is cancelled when the official is on route or on site.

 

No fee would be paid if an official is able to find another game on the date of the original contest.

All officials should expect to have their temperature checked upon arrival.  Any official that has a high temperature upon arrival and is unable to work the contest will not be eligible for any compensation.

For Spectators

This event is open to the public at this time. Temperature checks will be conducted for all entering the buildings and anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will not be allowed through the admission area. Masks are required for entry and expected to remain on as well as physical distancing of family groups is expected.  Hand sanitizer is available at every entry point.  Every other row of bleachers will be labeled to remind attendees to keep six feet of space between family groups.

Spectators will be expected to leave the facility once the event is over for the child they are there to support and should not congregate with the players.  Players will leave the playing surface when finished and go directly to the locker room and then exit the building if no further matches/games are scheduled for the team.

All children through eighth grade must remain with their parents indoors.  Students and fans should refrain from loud vocalization or yelling..

Concessions items may or may not be available depending on availability of workers. If available, we will be serving only prepackaged items. Masks are required in the concession areas and restrooms.

Payment

Credit cards will be accepted at indoor admission tables.  Cash only for concessions and outdoor events.  Exact change is encouraged for cash sales.
