Digital Citizenship Presentation @ LRJSH

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Little River Junior Senior High School will be having a digital citizenship assembly on the morning of Tuesday, September 3rd from 8:20-9:20. The school assembly is for all 7th through 12th grade students and parents are welcome to attend as well. During this assembly Chief Johanning will be presenting about social media, apps, cyber bullying, and sexting as well as the severity of the consequences when misuse occurs.

A parent night regarding the same topic will take place Wednesday, September 4th at 6pm in the Little River Junior Senior High auditorium. This assembly will focus on what to look out for on your child’s phone and helpful tips on educating your child and creating accountability.

We recognize parents/guardians as the primary educators of their children. We encourage students to share with their parents/guardians what we discuss in this assembly. Parents/guardians will also have the opportunity to hear more about how they can help influence their child’s digital citizenship at the parent night. If you have any questions or concerns, or would like to review the resources for the assembly, please contact Rebecca Kratzer, Counselor, at rkratzer@usd444.com or by calling (620) 897-6201.

It is understood that permission has been granted for your child to participate in the assembly with the following understanding (unless you decide to OPT-OUT your child by calling the main office at (620)897-7495.

A letter is being sent home with students.
