Activity: JH Volleyball & Football at Bennington

Times: VB @ 4:00 B-A-C (Main Gym) FB @ 6:00 (no 5th qtr)
Location: @ Bennington (vs Little River)
Admission: $4.00 adults $3.00 students (K-12)
These are general guidelines that Bennington JH/HS will be following for the safety of not only our student athletes, but also for those in attendance at Bennington hosted activities. If county or local guidelines are more stringent in the areas that we will be traveling, then we will adhere to their guidelines as set forth. Host schools will provide Bennington administration their guidelines and the required protocols will be posted on the BHS Facebook page as well as relayed to our student-athletes. All guidelines are subject to change based on state, county, and/or local decisions made by those leaders that have the best interests of student athlete and public safety in mind.
All Events
- Essential personnel only are allowed on the field or court
- No pre- or post-game fan gatherings allowed on the field, court, or other areas on school grounds
- No gatherings or tunnels allowed to welcome players on or off the field or court
- Modified post-game signs of sportsmanship will be conducted
- Athletes will rejoin their family after they exit from the locker room
- If anyone is not feeling well, please do not attend putting others at risk
Indoor Events
- Temperature checks will be conducted at the door with 100.0+ degrees as the threshold
- Masks will be required at all times except for those athletes actively participating in competition
- Social distancing is expected of all fans in attendance (except those in common household)
Outdoor Events
- Masks will be required to be worn in all areas where social distancing cannot be maintained
*** masks required at admission gate, concession stand, restrooms, etc…
*** masks recommended at all other times even if social distance is maintained
- Temperature checks are not required at this time for outside events
- Fans in attendance are expected to make responsible decisions for the safety of those nearby
Fan Attendance
- Currently, we are not limiting the number of fans admitted as long as social distancing is maintained
- East ends of gymnasium bleachers for Bennington fans & West ends of bleachers for our visitors
- South end of football stadium for Bennington fans & North end for our visitors
*** extra bleachers have been placed to allow for social distance
*** Bag chairs are permitted behind the chain outside the track
- Essential people only are allowed on or inside the track area (players, cheerleaders, coaches, etc...)
- All students 6th grade and younger are required to sit with their parents/guardians
- 7th-12th students will have a student section reserved with limited seats available (socially distanced)
*** 7th-12th students not in assigned section will be required to sit with parents/guardians
- School playground and football practice field are closed on game nights
- Concessions & Cafeteria Area
- - If available at all, the concession stand will have pre-packaged items only
- *** pop, candy, water, chips, Gatorade, etc…..
- - We are currently working with area restaurants to possibly make hot food items available
- - Cafeteria area will not be used for consumption of food (dining tables will not be available)
- - Cafeteria will not be a “commons area” for gatherings before, during, or after contests

- Other Building Areas
- - Hallways, Classrooms, Lounge, West Gym, & Small Gym are closed for cleaning on game nights
- - Restrooms available are in the cafeteria area only
