In an effort to better plan and help staff prepare for your child, USD 444 has decided to have a 2 hour late start on Wednesdays during the month of December. It will be re-evaluated after the next 3 weeks. School will start at 10:10 a.m. with buses running two hours late on December 2nd, 9th, and 16th. The staff appreciates your understanding as we continue in our effort to have students in person and to better plan for remote learners. Breakfast will not be served on these days. A.M. Pre-K class will have the option of attending with the P.M. Pre-K class on these days from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

As most of you are aware the KSHSAA Board of Directors voted to NOT allow fans into the gym for winter competition. The district will continue its effort to advocate for our kids and families. All home games including Varsity, JV, and Jr. High will be live-streamed on the NFHS network. You can subscribe for a yearly fee or a monthly fee, but there is a cost. Visit www.NFHSnetwork.com - Search for Little River, and Subscribe and Follow. Please follow the Little River High School home page at www.usd444.com and the LRJSH facebook page for links and information regarding away games. We are very disappointed in the decision, but are happy our kids can continue to play.

Please note: The LRJSH Winter/Christmas Music Program scheduled for Dec. 14th is going to be something different this year. Mr. Dohe will be preparing recordings of the music they have been working on. Music students will have the ability to share these with their families. Parents and families, please ask your student to share the recordings with you. We anticipate the recordings will be ready by Dec. 14th. Thank you for your understanding during this time.

We apologize in advance for the lack of availability / limited seating. Those circumstances are outside the control of USD 444. NFHS will be broadcasting live w/ Ad Astra Radio for those not able to attend. The link will limit to two tickets to allow opportunity for patrons to get a ticket.

Re: State Football @ Newton on Saturday, Nov. 28th - There is a limitation for 250 spectators per team. Please be patient as we are working on the ticketing process as quickly as we can. Mr. Morrow will be contacting each football parent and cheer parent today and this evening by phone so expect that call. A link to order tickets will be publicly shared as the availability of tickets is determined. If there are available tickets remaining after ensuring family members of players and students, a link to order your ticket will be made available the evening of Tues., Nov. 24th via text, website, and Facebook.
