Good afternoon, I wanted to inform everyone about a rescheduled basketball game that will take place here at LRHS on Thursday, February 12th. The unique piece to this puzzle is it will take place at 2PM. The Varsity girls will start at that time and it will be followed by the Varsity boys. I know this is not ideal for alot of people. This is the second time we have rescheduled this game and is the only date that Wakefield can play this contest. Our FFA is having their annual Auction this evening and we take alot of pride in all of the activities that our Redskins take part in. Mrs. Williams and the students have worked hard to make this evening a success and wanted to insure that they still had their time as well. Due to the bitterly cold weather, Little River-Windom Schools have cancelled school for tomorrow, Monday, January 26th. All evening activities have been cancelled as well. Stay safe and stay warm!
Due to falling snow and frigid temperatures, USD 444 Little River will dismiss school early today at 2:00 p.m. Buses will run their regular routes beginning at 2:00 p.m. Families who wish to pick up their student may do so at any time.

Today's JH Basketball Start time has had a slight change made to it. The C team boys will now start at 4:30 PM instead of the originally posted time, due to Centre's practice.
At approximately 6:00 p.m. last night, an incident occurred near the high school. The suspect was taken into custody at the time of the incident. After communication with local law enforcement, it was determined that school would resume as normal. All safety and security measures were taken and will continue to be a top priority for USD 444. Staff are available for any student who has questions or concerns.
Due to a transportation accident to Wakefield bus, they are unable to make it to Little River tonight. Tonight's HS Basketball games will be postponed for a later date.
Due to high winds, today's JH Basektball games vs Solomon are cancelled. We will explore rescheduling dates.
Join us tomorrow evening (Tuesday, December 9th) for our LRSJH Winter Choir and Band Concert!! This event will begin at 7:00 PM and take place in the LRSJH Auditorium. Mr. Spears and our students have worked hard on this, and we look forward to enjoying a wonderful night of music with you all!

Due to the high volleyball team qualifying for the State Volleyball Tournament held in Dodge City, we WILL NOT have school onThursday, October 30th, for Grades Pre-K-12. This will allow everyone plenty of time to get to the games if they want to attend. GOOD LUCK LADY SKINS!!!

Due to Friday's Weather Forecast, our HS Football game scheduled for Friday has been moved to Tomorrow (Thursday, October 23rd) at 7PM. Senior Night and our Pink Out event will both be moved to this date as well and will keep the same times.

This is an important reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL for students and staff tomorrow, September 10, 2025, due to the Little River Jr./Sr. High School Band participating in the Kansas State Fair Marching Band Competition. The band is scheduled to line up between 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to march on the fairgrounds beginning near the 4-H animal exhibits. Hope to see you at the fairgrounds cheering on our marching band during this time!
Due to the excessive rainfall, many roads are or may become flooded. If you are aware of any roads that are flooded, please contact the offices so we can plan accordingly for bus routes. If you want to pick your child up from school, please feel free to let the office know and pick them up at any time. At this time, we are planning to run all bus routes. If roads are impassable, you will be notified to pick up your child at the school. Thanks for your understanding, as student safety is our number one priority.
