We want to inform you about a recent cybersecurity incident involving PowerSchool, a platform used by many school districts, including ours.
While we are still gathering information, PowerSchool is actively investigating the situation and has taken steps to secure its systems.
At this time, we are working to determine if our district has been directly affected. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and share updates with you as we learn more.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Little River-Windom will conduct school as normal with our regular one hour late start.
We understand that roads are still snow packed across town and county roads and ask that you contact your bus driver if changes occur with picking up your child in the morning.

Little River-Windom will not have school tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7th, due to safety concerns related to weather and ice. There will also be no evening activities.

Come out this Friday, December 6th, at 7:00 PM to enjoy our LRSJH Winter Concert!! It will take place in the LRSJH Auditorium. Our kids and Mr. Spears have been working hard and are ready to share some Christmas Cheer with you all!
Tomorrow's dismissal time will remain the same (2:30 PM). Please make arrangements with your respective office to pull your student out sooner, if needed. Thank you!
Due to predicted forecast, our HS Football game at West Elk, will start at 5PM tomorrow.
Due to the football game at West Elk this Friday, November 8th, and the 6 p.m. start, we will dismiss school at 2:30 p.m. to ensure everyone who wants to attend the game can make it on time. Afternoons buses will run at 2:30 p.m. GOOD LUCK REDSKINS!
Due to the high volleyball team qualifying for the State Volleyball Tournament held in Dodge City, we WILL NOT have school on Friday, November 1st for Grades Pre-K-12. This will allow everyone plenty of time to get to the games if they want to attend. GOOD LUCK LADY SKINS!!!
Just a reminder, tomorrow's regional volleyball matches and Saturday's Sub-State matches are both KSHSAA sponsored events. Per KSHSAA, there are no passes allowed and admissions prices are: $8 adults and $6 students. Thanks and Go Skins!
Booster Club meeting tomorrow night, Oct. 9th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Commons at the Little River Jr./Sr. High School. Everyone's ideas are needed and everyone is needed to support our jr./sr. high school students and staff. Hope to see you there!
LRSJH will have picture retakes tomorrow (Tuesday, October 1st).
Jr. High and High School Parents are invited to the first Booster Club meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 25th, at 7 p.m. in the Commons Area. We would love everyone's input and need you to make this the best year yet at LRJSH. This is a great way to show support to our children and staff.
Parents, please stop by the Little River Jr./Sr. High School Booster Club Booth at tomorrow night's football game. The booth will be open beginning at 6:15 p.m.
If you requested an all-season sports pass, they are ready. You can pick them up at the HS office and pay for them at that time.

The JH and HS school band will be marching at the State Fair on Monday, September 9th instead of Wednesday, September 11th, between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM. ALL band students need to report to the school on Monday NO later than 8:30 AM. Parents, you can sign your child out early to go home or they may remain at the fairgrounds. If you are planning to pick up your child at the fairgrounds, you MUST sign them out with Mr. Spears. For those students who will be riding the bus home, it will return to Little River around 3:30 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Spears at 620-897-6201 by Friday, September 6th.
Marquette Parents - the Marquette afternoon bus will be running about 20-30 minutes later than normal today.
1-hour Late Start Wednesdays will begin on Wednesday, August 21st, with school beginning at 9:10 a.m. Bus routes/shuttles will run 1-hour late as well. Teachers report at 7:45 a.m.
Little River Senior and Junior High All-Sport Parent Meeting:
Tuesday, August 20th, at 6PM in the LRSJH Auditorium
The meeting will start in the auditorium with Coach Base and then we will have break-out sessions that will be sports-specific with your athlete's coach. Hope to see you all tomorrow evening!
