With the COVID-19 precautions being taken in our state, there have been several questions about the cancellation of Little River High School Junior Senior Prom. At this time, we are exploring the matter on a day by day basis. Our intention is to allow prom to take place as scheduled, but the safety of our student body is our first concern. If the need arises to cancel or postpone prom due to COVID-19, we will take action as necessary. Parents who are questioning whether or not to order a tux will have to make that decision individually. In this unique circumstance, it has been decided to show some flexibility with the usual prom dress code. It would be acceptable for students to wear nice slacks, a button dress shirt, and tie in place of a tux. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
It is with great regret that we inform you that all State Basketball tournaments in Kansas have been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns. We are so proud of our boys. Well done on a great season Redskins!!!
HUGE THANKS to Peoples Bank and Chris Herbst-Long McArthur Ford, they will be paying for all 7-12 Students to get into the State Basketball Game BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY! Students must enter through main gate no later than 15 minutes before game time.
STATE SHIRT PICKUP
Everyone will be able to pick up their shirt inside the main entrance of the arena in Dodge City. Look for Mrs. Mantz and Mrs. Wohletz. At 2:45 remaining shirts will be taken to the Redskin Section of the bleachers.

State Shirts need paid by 3:00 Tuesday. Money needs turned into LRHS Office. Checks payable to LRHS StuCo. Shirts can not be picked up until they are paid for. Shirt pickup information TBA.

Congratulations to the boys' basketball team for qualifying for the 1A state tournament. To allow staff and students to attend the 3 PM game at Dodge City Wednesday, March 11th USD 444 will have regular start day with dismissal at 11:30 AM. NO LATE START on Wednesday.

Little River Junior High Choir tomorrow at Elyria Christian: Bus leaves at 8:30am. Please come dressed in concert attire. Performance at 9:30am. If you like, bring school clothes to change into once we are finished. We will return to Little River at approx. 11:00am.
Still some room on the bus in the morning at 8 am. Have parent drop you off so they can sign consent form.. Going to Life Church in Wichita and Buffalo Wild Wings after church.
Little River Basketball Regional at Goessel: The Little River Girls will play for the regional championship at 6:00 vs Rural Vista. The Little Boys will play for the regional championship at 7:30 vs Goessel. Let's Go!
Life Church Sunday: For those interested in going on the trip to Wichita Sunday morning, please be sure to sign the white board in the flex room today so that we know numbers and can plan transportation accordingly. The plan is to leave the parking lot at 8:00 am Sunday, and we will attend church and eat at Buffalo Wild Wings before heading back. To go, please do the following: 1. Sign up by putting your name on the white board in the flex room 2. Get a consent form on the chair by the white board in the flex room 3. We must have the signed consent form before you get on the bus Sunday morning. Ask a friend, give someone needing a ride to the bus a lift, etc., etc.
Regional Basketball at Goessel:
LRHS Boys 6:00 Thursday vs Centre
LRHS Girls 7:30 Friday vs Centre
Friday Fellowship: We will meet Friday morning at 7:30, and Andover Lutheran will be the sponsor. All HS students are welcome to attend. Per our last meeting we are offering a trip to Life Church in Wichita on 3-1-20, and we will leave the south parking lot at 8:00 sharp. After church we will eat at Buffalo Wild Wings before heading back to Little River. We plan to be back between 2:00-3:00 pm. Students will need to pay for their own meal, but please see Mr. Morrow or Mr. Ayers if you need some help with lunch money. Also, you must have a signed permission slip signed and turned in before you will be allowed to get on the bus. You can get a permission slip from Mr. Morrow or Mr. Ayers, and we will have them at Friday Fellowship.
Regional Basketball at Goessel:
Thursday, LRHS Boys vs Centre at 6:00. Friday, the LRHS Girls vs Centre or Solomon at 6:00 or 7:30 (TBD). If one or both teams win, the finals are on Saturday with the girls game at 6:00 and the boys game at 7:30.
