This is a reminder to return your child's Summer Reading Log if you haven't already. Deadline for the return is Monday, August 20! Plans are in the works for a reward celebration for those who met their summer reading goal. Details to be announced SOON!

USD 444 Little River Calendar Change - On Monday, August 13th the BOE moved to change the October 11th Teacher Inservice day to October 12th. There will be No School for Grades Pre-K-12 on Friday, October 12th. Please mark your calendars to reflect this change.
Cross Country has been approved and adopted as a new fall sport at LRJSH beginning this year! Any student interested should contact Mr. Zimmerman as soon as possible. Thurs., Aug. 16th is open house at LRJSH for any parent/student wanting to meet the teachers. Mrs. Herbst and teachers will be available from 4pm-7pm for questions/introductions if you’d like to stop in. Meet & Greet, come and go as it fits your schedule. Fall Parents Sports Meeting is tonight at 6:30pm in the LRHS auditorium this evening. (Wed. Aug. 15th) Hope to see parents there. Student athletes are not required to attend.

Student athletes who have not viewed the concussion video may report to LRJSH main office on Mon., Aug. 13th @ 3pm to view the video prior to attending practice. Remember a signed physical form and concussion form must be on file before beginning practice. Go Skins!
2 days & 66 2,000 pound bags later, the rubber mulch is on the playground. BIG thanks to Mr. Ellwood, his father-in-law, Bryce, Debbie Gadberry, and LRHS students Ty Herzog & Hunter Thomas (two WES alumni giving back to the school). Your volunteer time GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you for all who came out to band camp today. We got a ton learned. So much in fact we are cancelling tomorrows band camp!
Those who couldn't make it, make sure to look at your music and contact Mr. Reilly if you need your school instrument practice. We will hit the ground running on the first day of school!!
TOMORROW-Friday, Aug. 10, anyone who would like to volunteer (community service for high school/college students) to help spread rubber mulch on WES playground. Starting at 8:00-11:00 a.m. Bring a shovel, wheat scoop, or garden rake. Spread the mulch.... spread the word!
