The varsity Little River Redskins scholars bowl team took second at wheat state league tournament. The junior varsity team went 2-3. Nicely done Redskins!
Mrs. Bruce and two sixth graders share about their "Flipped Classroom" for math at the USD 444 BOE meeting. A flipped classroom allows students to watch a lesson at home and return to school for the "homework" with teacher help available.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 9th, the high school basketball teams will host Centre at 4:30pm beginning with JV boys, followed by Varsity girls, and then Varsity boys. There will not be a JV girls game.
This Thursday we will be hosting Peabody for Junior High basketball. Games will begin at 4:30 (please note the later start time!) with a B-girls half game...B-boys full game...A-girls game...A-boys game.

High school boys basketball practice is canceled today.
Students will be dismissed at noon today. High school students choosing not to eat lunch at school, and who have completed their final exams, will be dismissed at 11:25 today.

Thank you Monsanto Company for investing in rural schools and STEM education. USD 444 received a $10k grant to fund PLTW this fall. The awards ceremony took place last Friday night.
Due to preparations for the Winter Program this evening, high school and junior high basketball practices this afternoon will end at 5:15pm with practice busses leaving at 5:20pm.
The LRJSH Winter Program is tonight at 6:30pm in the high school auditorium. Students must be in concert dress, and report to the music room by 6:00pm to warm up. The program will be livestreamed, and a link will be posted on facebook and the website.
