Tonight - Football Championship Banner & Season Recognition following the Varsity Boys’ game for football & basketball coaches, managers, and athletes. Each being recognized will also be allowed 4 spectators. (Please stay after for the recognition ceremony.)
At this time, we are planning to proceed with the high school basketball games vs. Goessel this evening.
Senior Parent Recognition will take place immediately following the Varsity Girls game. Seniors and parents should line up toward the end of the girls varsity game on the south end of the gym by the sound box.
We will plan to hold the Homecoming Ceremony TONIGHT during halftime of the Varsity Boys game.
Band members should report at 5:30pm!

Friday Game Day Fellowship tomorrow morning at 7:30 in the gym. Elim Lutheran is sponsoring the breakfast. Bring a friend and join us for great fellowship and food. All Little River JH and HS students and all staff are welcome to attend. LET'S GO!
Due to a water main break at LRJSH, all students (grades 7-12) will be dismissed today at 10:00am. We apologize for the inconvenience but students will be dismissed to walk or drive home unless the office is notified (620)897-6201. We want to be sure that students leave the building in a manner that would ensure their safe arrival back home. Please notify the office if you have a student that needs to ride with someone other than a sibling or if you have any other question/request. Students are welcome to remain in the building while arrangements are made if needed. If you do not have a mode of transportation, please notify the office and we will assist as we can without running busses. Any student is welcome to be picked up by a parent prior to 10:00am. Windom Elementary will remain in session and bussing will run as normal after school. At this time activities tonight are still expected to proceed. More information to come with regard to Homecoming ceremonies.
The Cities of Little River and Windom, along with the school district, would greatly appreciate your help in conserving energy at this time. We have been able to avoid blackouts thus far, however, we would appreciate any help you can provide in conserving energy at this time. USD 444 Little River-Windom is planning to have school in person tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17th. A reminder of the regularly scheduled 2 hour late start. If we begin to experience electrical outages, due to the extreme cold temperatures and energy usage the decision would be reconsidered and you would be notified.
The games with Spearville for Tuesday, Feb. 16 have been cancelled. Spearville is not able to make up the games, but we are currently trying to locate another team to play next week. There will be no games on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Due to dangerous wind chill temperatures forecasted for tomorrow morning USD 444 Little River-Windom will have a remote learning day on Tuesday, February 16th. All activities have been postponed for Tuesday.

Remote Learning Schedule for Monday, Feb. 15th Due to the extreme cold temperatures in the forecast over the weekend and early next week, we will have a remote learning day on Monday, Feb. 15th. Students know to bring home items for remote learning today so they are ready for remote learning on Monday. Please see the information below:
Friday Fellowship is cancelled for Friday morning due to the cold weather.
Due to the unprecedented cold temperatures, possible snow, and wind chill early next week, USD 444 Little River-Windom has made the decision to make Monday, February 15th a remote learning day. Please check the school’s website and Facebook pages for specific schedules and expectations. All students should plan to bring materials/technology home on Friday to prepare for remote learning on Monday. A decision about Tuesday will be made by Monday morning for you to plan accordingly. Thank you in advance for your understanding as we try to keep students and staff safe.
Reminder: The attendance rule is different for tomorrow's games at Herington. Only 2 parents/guardians will be able to attend per participant at Herington. On Friday at Elyria, it will be back to 4 spectators per participant.
